![]() ![]() I did a lot of research and I found dozens of different ways this could be done and I decided to do it a simple way. However, I did a little more guessing on the Overclock side. The attached YouTube link made this process extremely simple for a total newbie. (the old test was a second baseline after the above posted CineBench baseline.) I was pretty astounded by the results of just the under volt. Specifically I found a -190.4 mV undervolt on CPU core and a -125.0 undervolt on the CPU Cache. (Thanks Bob of All Trades) After messing with the undervolt settings on ThrottleStop I was able to boost my CPU from ~3.2GHz to a steady ~4.05Ghz. Having done a decent amount of research and absolutely no experience tuning a computer, I decided to follow this link to find the right settings for the CPU Undervolt. I used CineBench and Unigine Superposition as benchmarks for my CPU and GPU respectively. All that aside, after a few weeks I decided to give a go at undervolting my CPU and overclocking my GPU to get a tad more performance out of my system. ( 50ish FPS at 80% resolution on COD) I found a good deal on a refurbished GS75 with the 2080 Max-Q and i7-9750H and the difference was outstanding. ![]() Tuned with ThrottleStop and Dragon CenterĪ couple weeks ago I decided to upgrade from my old Omen 1050 TI to something that could run games a lot better than that outdated machine. ![]()
